ANHOLT

ANHOLT is a roguelite puzzle platformer inspired by titles such as La-Mulana and Spelunky. It is an attempt to give classic games like The Maze of Galious and Kid Icarus a roguelike form – a bit like The Binding of Isaac does with The Legend of Zelda. As such, the levels in ANHOLT are randomly generated every time you play:

 

CONTROLS:

• Arrow keys to move and climb ladders
• Z to jump
• X to use primary weapon, C to use secondary item
• I to open inventory
• +, - and 0 to control audio

ANHOLT is in active development!

ANHOLT is still in the early stages of development. Currently, only the first two worlds are in a playable state. You can download the demo below for Windows or Linux*.

* I am no Linux expert, but I have managed to make an AppImage that should be playable on most distributions. If you have trouble, though, playing the Windows version through Wine should work as well. If neither option works for you, please contact me, and I will try to figure out a different solution.
